Engage! is our middle school program for GBCYM.

Engage! meets every Wednesday night throughout the school year from 6-8pm.  Our night consists of games, worship activities, a large group lesson, an activity to reenforce the lesson (Team Time), small group time, and the Raffle.

The Raffle is an incentive program to encourage students to come, bring their Bibles, invite friends, memorize verses and serve.

In Engage!, we have been going through series based lessons from the Orange Curriculum.  These lessons combine Biblical teachings with practical life challenges.    These are the series we will be covering this year:

Have you ever been wronged? Had your feelings hurt? Held a grudge? We all have! And when things like that happen, we’re left wondering how to move on—especially when we don’t get an apology. In this series, we’ll take a look at the one thing Jesus offers us that can help us let go and move forward: forgiveness.

1/9- The more you hold on to a grudge, the more it holds on to you.

1/16- Forgiven people forgive.

1/23- Healing takes time.

When it comes to sex, we all have certain ideas and expectations of what it should— or shouldn’t—be about. But what if all those thoughts and ideas are actually missing the mark? In this series, as we take a look at God’s design for sex, we’ll discover that there’s more to it than we think.

2/6- Others weren’t made to be objects.

2/13- Sex was made to matter.

2/20- You were made to be the boss of your body

2/27- You were made for more than sex.

If you knew your time on Earth was coming to an end, what would you want to say to the people in your life? For Jesus, the days leading up to His death were filled with meaningful conversations with the people around Him. In this series, as we look at some of His famous last words, we’ll discover what Jesus really wanted His followers—both then and now—to know.

3/13- Remember what God has done for you.

3/20- Unity starts with you.

3/27- Trust who God is, even when you don’t understand.

4/3- Because of Jesus, we can be close to God.

4/10- God’s grace is unfairly good.

Wouldn’t it be great if connecting with God was as simple as sending a direct message? While it may not look just like a DM on Instagram, the good news is that talking to God may be easier than we think. In this series, we’ll look at how prayer can help us connect with God in a very real way.

4/24- Prayer is about connecting, not just getting.

5/1- Prayer is about remembering who God is and who we are.

Fun Nights are a night of youth group that are geared towards just having fun!  Students work very hard throughout the school year, and we want them to have opportunities to just have fun.  During these nights, we will have video games, board games, themed nights, food, and much, much more!  These nights are also great opportunities for our students to invite friends to youth group in a very nonthreatening nor intimidating way.
